Agent-When a haunting seems to be cenetered around certain people we call them agents.

Apparitions -These are people who have generally been dead longer than 48 hours. There are two subsets:1. those that make one or several visits to someone.2 rare cases of apparitions that linger for months or years around a particular location or person that they assoicated with when alive.

Crisis Apparitions-Apparitions of the dying recently dead usually less than 48 hours are most frequently reported apparitions.This catagory commonly involves one-time visits to someone with whom the apparition has close emotional ties.Though the encounter usually seems to be a type of farewell sometimes importantand useful information is relayed to the person of interest. Though dying is the most common crisis apparition typically visits a close assoicate in a appeal for help.

Intelligent Apparition- is when a spirit shows itself to you as they looked when alive. apparitions barely ever have any lower legs and arms.Seeing an intelligent apparition is considered rare and normally only happens when the spirit is trying to make direct communication with the observer.

Repeat Apparitions- is when sighting of a apparition is seen on several occasions. These repeats could be an actual spirit simply repeating an certain event or could be a impression on the area.

Ghost- This term has many meanings but in modern time is used as an alternative to using spirit. For most they carry the same meaning.

Imprint- is a non-spirit/ghost that reenacts certain events. What causes these imprints are not really known it is believed to have something to do with the energy fields that surrounds us always.  When there is a disturbance in the energy the location records the events int he ara and play them back until the energy that caused it changes or dies down. A good example for this is a train that is sighted on a certain time every so often.

Messenger- These kinds of Spirits are most common. These spirits usually appear shortly after their deaths to people close to them. They are aware of their deaths and can interact with the living.They most often bring messages of comfort to their loved ones, to say they are happy and well.and not to grieve for them. These ghosts/spirits appear briefly and usualy only once. It is as they intentionally return with their message for the purpose of helping the living cope with their loss.

Natural Orbs- consist of dust,rain,snow,  insects,fog,etc..  They are commonly mistaken for actual spirit orbs. Natural orbs normally do not show any kind of real mass and seem often appear flat and can be seen through.

Parastic Entities- An entity is that of bad intensions. It must feed off of something(i.e. stress,anguish,drug problems,emotional problems,fear,etc.) It can be very problematic within a household, a little les subtle than a poltergeist but still enough to reek havoc. Sometimes assoicated or confused with poltergeist.

Poltergeists-This type of haunting is the most feared by people because it has the greatest ability to affect our physical world. Poltergeists are blamed for unexplained noiese,such as wall banging, rapping, footsteps and even music. They take our possessions and hide them,only to return them later. They turn on faucets,slam doors,turn lights on and off, flush toliets, They throw things across the rooms. They have been known to pull on people's clothing or hair. The malebolent ones even slap and scratch the living. Because of these sometimes ''Mean Spirited'' manifestations that poltergeists are considered by some investigators to be demonic in nature.

Projections-The skeptics'point of view'- If they are willing to admit there is anything to haunting experinces at all- is they are in our minds ,or are products of our own minds.Ghost/Spirits,they say,are psycological phenonmena: we see them because she needs to;she needs the comfort of knowing that he is alright and happy int he next world. Her mind produces the experince to help itself cope with the stress of the loss. Since we know so little about the power and capacity of our own minds,it's possible that they can even produce phsyical manifestations,  such as apparitions and noises-projections that even others may be able to see and hear. But they are not  '' real'' in any sense say the skeptics,just the conjurings of powerful imagaintions.

Residual Hauntings- are often considered a photo in time or leftover energy from the past. Some type of horrific landmark  in time playing itself over and over in a certain location.(battlegrounds) some see apparitions ,some feel energies , and some hear sounds.There have been some theories that limestone deposits have some effect on residual hauntings , as they have been found near active sites and limestone can hold  electormagnetic charges 

Shadows-  are probably the most common sighing of a spirit a natural explained events can account for many of the sightings bu there are plenty of encounters that show us that this is a real form that spirits can take.Exactly why  they appear as shadows is unknown but two very possible explantions are that either light is not reflecting  off them right or that the spirit did not have enough  energy to form a compete apparitions. This form is commonly mistaken for a demon due to it being all black. There is no proof of shaws are anymore evil then any other form.

Spirit- When we die our mind does not get erased we keep everything we are and take it with us. Tight now you are a spirit controlling a phsyical body. Spirits are simply people without bodies.

Spirit Orb- is a solid sphere of energy that holds mass and can act in a non natural way.  the topic is one of the most debated topics among paranomal investigators.

Supercharged orb- Are simply orbs that are moving at a rate faster than the shutter on a camera causing a line effect on the picture.

Time Slips- This type of hauting is most usually seen as sounds and transparent shadows. This has been documented for many years. What may be occuring is acutally from the past-another time in life slipping into our time. The ingredients for this to happen are of large propotion,yet to be discovered.

Vortex- is a long cynlinder of energy. They seem to be connected to orbs in one way or another due to photographic evidence of orbs coming in/out of a vortex and floating around them some believed that these are vortics act as a doorway from our plain of existence to theirs.Camera straps and  the like are commonly mistaken for vortex.
